Work begins on state-of-the-art nursery school in Cheltenham

Construction has started on Cheltenham College Prep School to build a brand new, purpose-built nursery school.

Scheduled to open in September 2022, the building has been designed to provide modern and spacious classrooms and outdoor space for children aged three to five.

The new building will be nestled among the trees at the heart of the existing Cheltenham Prep site off Thirlestaine Road in the city, giving students access to 75 acres of green space to explore during their outdoor learning sessions.

The director of Cheltenham Prep, Mr. Tom O’Sullivan, said; “The new nursery school marks the start of the Cheltenham preparation journey for our youngest students.

The development was designed by Roberts Limbrick Architects, based in Gloucester.

Cheltenham Nursery School and Cheltenham College Preparatory School are part of Cheltenham College, a coeducational day school and boarding school for children aged three to 18.
