Kyle Sandilands shocks Jackie O by revealing he’s soundproofing baby’s room

Most new parents are paranoid about NOT hearing their baby wake up and cry, so the recent announcement of dad-to-be Kyle Sandilands has some people scratching their heads in confusion.

Yes, you heard right.

Kyle and Tegan announced in February that they were expecting.

They already know the sex of their baby – it’s a boy – and the name they will give him, Otto.

Kyle’s admission that he planned to soundproof the baby’s room so he wouldn’t hear him cry left Jackie O puzzled.

“I’m going to install the soundproof doors next,” he told his KIIS FM co-host.

“I thought it was for the studio,” she said of soundproofing plans for Kyle’s house.

“No, no, it’s for the baby’s room so I don’t have to hear that constant crying.”

‘Are you serious?’

“Oh my god, are you for real?” Jackie O replied.

“When they cry, it means they are hungry or something is wrong.

” You can not do that ! »

“You can do whatever you want,” Kyle replied. “It’s your baby.”

“You must be able to hear him cry,” replied Jackie O.

But Kyle said dealing with the crying baby would be “the nanny’s job”.

“The nanny needs to hear the baby cry. I don’t need to hear crying crying.

No expensive video baby monitors for Kyle, then?

Jackie O is baby Otto’s godmother, and Kyle recently “popped the question” after the couple wrapped up their radio shift.

The video of when Kyle asked Jackie O to do the honors shows a room at the radio station filled with helium balloons and a special godmother gift – a diamond ring with the name Otto spelled out in Morse code.

Kyle and Tegan, 36, started dating in late 2019.

After announcing they were expecting a child, the couple held an extravagant gender reveal party in Sydney Harbour.

Kyle chartered a superyacht and the baby’s gender was revealed by blue smoke billowing from planes flying over the harbour.

Photos posted to Instagram included an elaborate gender-revealing cake, platters of fresh fruit, balloons galore, sweets and bottles of rosé.
