Hotsy Totsy Burlesque pays tribute to STRANGER THINGS at the Slipper Room

The people of Hawkins need a little cheering up and Cherry Pitz has come to town to put on a burlesque show!

After hearing reports that the town of Hawkins, Indiana is in shambles after what the media is calling the event a 7.4 magnitude earthquake. Cherry Pitz has volunteered. Realizing that most of the residents live in the high school gymnasium, she decided the best thing for everyone’s morale would be for her to produce and direct a burlesque show featuring local performers.

Stranger Things, Netflix’s award-winning, binge-worthy creepy series, first premiered in 2016 and since then we’ve followed the cast as they tried their best to grow despite the constant need for fight Demobats, Demodogs, Demogorgon, Spider Monsters, and most recently Vecna. With Halloween fast approaching, what better time to pay homage to this fantastic show.

Hosts: Cherry Pitz, Beau Brad

Acts: Persé Fanny, Dutch Baby, Rosie Tulips, Jennifer Kovacs, Ellerbe Smythe, Bimini Cricket & Lady Sqwheels

Gogo: Esme

Kitten: Brief sweat

This year, Hotsy Totsy turned 15! The first Hotsy Totsy Burlesque took place in New York in April 2007 and it was a fabulous ride! We’ve played shows that are often sold out, and our devoted fans happily follow the soap opera that is Hotsy Totsy, declaring after each performance, “That was the best show you’ve ever done!” As performers and writers, we’ve grown as a cast and as friends and are excited to begin our 15th year of honoring our favorite movies and TV shows with glitz, glitter and understatement. flying clothes.

Each month you are invited to The Home for Wayward Girls and Fallen Women. The residents of the house need money to keep their hotel open and to buy thongs and sequins. Unfortunately the shows have had their technical difficulties and in the past they have had to battle Daleks, Darth Vader, The Borg, Zombies, The Ghost of Vincent Price, Network Censors, Evil from other dimensions and more recently Covid-19. But we carry on and mother of the house Cherry Pitz with her faithful husband Handsome Brad promises you beautiful clothes-averse nerds, lots of laughs, twirling acorns and fun!

So join us for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Home for Wayward Girls and Fallen Women where the motto is “We fell, we can’t get up, and we love it!”
